COS, this is the new lamp from the Munich manufacturer KOMOT. It was designed by designer Konrad Weinhuber. He is the creative head of KOMOT and has been managing the company since 2002. In 2002, he received the coveted if Design Plus Award for his SPIN lighting series.
The COS combines noble materials and the finest craftsmanship in a perfect shape. It is a lamp for classic as well as for modern ambience. The COS consists of a hand-blown opal glass ball, whose satin-finished surface is delicately illuminated from the inside. A filigree textile cable leads up into the light. Exactly dosed light emerges below.
Easy. Nice. More should not be the COS at first glance. And yet the lamp is full of sophisticated technology. At KOMOT a lot of effort has been made to equip the COS with a variety of functions. And once more so much to completely hide the technology from the viewer.
The COS was awarded the Special Design Award for the Design Award 2019 - Excellent Product Design in the Lighting category by the German Design Council!
